Crafty as Fox is a curated art market born from the partnership of husband-and-wife creative team Rick and Megan known professionally as Red Fox Indy and Call Me Megz.
Rick, a graphic designer and photographer with 30 years of industry experience, and Megan, a jewelry designer and mixed-media artist, recognized that the best way to elevate their craft was to create an independent space where art takes center stage. They saw a need for a platform that prioritized the artist’s vision over third-party algorithms and restrictive service fees.
While originally founded by Rick years ago as a handcrafted candy and physical art brand, the company has since evolved into Crafty as Fox: Art Market. It now serves as a great destination for their combined work, from artistic designs in print and merchandise to handcrafted jewelry and drawings. We are committed to offering high-quality, soulful products that people will enjoy and cherish for a lifetime.
Beyond our own work, we provide a platform for friends and collaborating artists to showcase their talents and share their creations with the world. With over 30 years of experience, Rick McHaffey has been a staple of the Midwest music and design scene. His career began at the intersection of art and sound, collaborating with well-known musicians and local legends alike. Driven by a passion for the industry, Rick’s work evolved from capturing the energy of a live show to solving the complex challenges that bands face on their journey to success.
This “in-the-trenches” experience led Rick to master the essential pillars of a modern creative brand: web development, merchandising, project management, and high-end visual design. By identifying what it truly takes for an artist to thrive, he transitioned these skills into the business and marketing worlds, helping brands navigate the difference between what works and what fails.
For Rick, art is more than a career, it is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream and the means by which he supports his family.
